COVID Measures at Natural Cookery School

COVID Measures at Natural Cookery School

We have been working hard at Natural Cookery School to create a safe and inviting environment to share with you during these unusual times. The kitchen and the dining area have now been reconfigured, and we hope you approve.

We have always ensured the highest standards of hygiene at the cookery school as a matter of course, and have implemented the following additional measures to provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience when you visit:

  • Class numbers are small, to ensure social distancing at all times.
  • Everyone entering the building will have their temperature taken and recorded and be asked to sanitise their hands.
  • Work stations and dining tables are individual, unless you are coming with someone in your bubble. Each student will cook and eat their own food.
  • Visors, disposable masks, gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided, but you are welcome to provide your own.
  • All members of staff will be wearing visors.
  • Erin will be teaching at a safe social distance. To ensure everyone has a good view, she will have a video camera above her work station, showing the demonstration in real time on a screen above her, which everyone can see.
  • As always, regular hand washing will be advised throughout the class.
  • Contact points throughout the building will be sanitised on an ongoing basis.
  • Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household or bubble are displaying symptoms or feeling unwell.
  • We expect all students to comply with the measures implemented and government guidelines.

In accordance with Government guidance, we will share details of your booking with NHS Test and Trace personnel, if asked, in the event of a fellow student testing positive for coronavirus.

In the event of a staff member falling ill, or receiving information that a recent student has tested positive, all classes will be immediately suspended. We will work with the relevant authorities to ensure everyone’s safety and ensure we can resume as soon as is safely possible. A deep clean of the entire building and testing of staff will occur before reopening.

In the event of a second lockdown or a local lockdown, those booked on affected classes will be contacted and we will find a suitable later date for you to join us.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email
