An Evening with Wild Garlic

Join Erin Baker and Rachel Corby for an enchanting evening with wild garlic. Wild garlic grows in abundance in the spring and is great to use in cooking however, it is also worth preserving for culinary and medicinal uses throughout the year.
After a delicious feat of wild garlic inspired recipes, we will explore in depth the unique fragrance and flavour of wild garlic more closely. Taking our time and tuning in to how our bodies respond to the fragrance and flavour in turn we will begin to learn a little of the action that wild garlic has within our bodies. Taking our exploration deeper we will use guided meditation to meet with wild garlic in our hearts to discover more fully the unique character of this seasonally abundant wild plant. We will conclude the evening by discussing the medicinal qualities of wild garlic (many of which will already have been revealed during our investigations), before making a medicinal vinegar with the wild garlic to take home.

Rachel Corby is a personal rewilding coach, medicine woman and plant whisperer. She works with the physical medicine a plant provides, but also encourages people to connect directly with the spirit of plants. This approach opens up a whole new world of possibility and respect when working with plants as medicines. The plants are elevated from being merely physical remedies, to becoming both friends and allies, offering emotional and spiritual support alongside their physical actions.
Natural Cookery School recipes are inspired by the season. Classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration, with plenty of added tips and knife skills. You will work in small groups in our teaching kitchen, creating the recipes and tasting along the way. We'll enjoy a shared meal at the end of the class, so please bring a container in case of leftovers... You will be provided with an apron to use for the day and recipe packs to take home. No washing up necessary as we have someone on hand to take care of that.
