Our Spring Detox cookery and nutrition workshop is based on Eastern nutrition and naturopathic detox. The morning will begin with a nutrition session with Mary. She will discuss a spring detox from a naturopathic understanding, plus drawing on eastern nutrition and the energetics of food. Then Erin will lead you to the kitchen for a hands-on practical session that puts these principles into practice using local, seasonal and foraged foods that are vital to our bodies in the spring. The recipes will be ones that you can enjoy yourself as well as pass on to your clients and patients.
All recipes will be gluten free, refined sugar free and plant-based vegan.
Please note this class is only for School of Health students and alumni.
Natural Cookery School recipes are inspired by the season. Classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration, with plenty of added tips and knife skills. You will work in pairs in our teaching kitchen, creating the recipes and tasting along the way. We'll enjoy a shared meal at the end of the class, so please bring a container in case of leftovers. You will be provided with an apron to use for the day and recipe packs to take home. No washing up is necessary as we have someone on hand to take care of that.
All Natural Cookery School classes are suitable for vegans and most for those who are gluten-free. Please add any dietary requirements or allergy information during the checkout process.
