Vegan Cakes and Desserts

Delicious vegan cakes and dessert recipes to satisfy any sweet tooth. Vegan baking is easy once you know-how. We will explore various ways to replace eggs depending on the recipes needs. We will use potato protein to create fail proof crispy meringues. We will also conquer agar agar, a vegan gelatine used to make a variety of show stopping plant based puddings.
From set custards to moist sponge cakes and a decadent tiramisu, this class will teach you how to create gorgeous treats. The recipes are adaptable for gluten free. A savoury lunch will also be provided before we tuck into our decadent spread of delights.
- Coconut creme caramel with coconut crumb
- Chocolate midnight tart with cashew shortbread crust
- Rosewater and pistachio meringues with cardamom cream
- Lemon almond sponge with elderflower buttercream
- Tiramisu – yup, that’s right!
Natural Cookery School recipes are inspired by the season. Classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration, with plenty of added tips and knife skills. You will work in small groups in our teaching kitchen, creating the recipes and tasting along the way. We'll enjoy a shared meal at the end of the class, so please bring a container in case of leftovers... You will be provided with an apron to use for the day and recipe packs to take home. No washing up necessary as we have someone on hand to take care of that.
