Delicious vegan cakes and dessert recipes to satisfy any sweet tooth. Vegan baking is easy once you know how. We will explore various ways to replace eggs depending on the recipes needs. We will use aquafaba to create fluffy results in our bakes and crispy meringues perfect for summer puddings. We will also conquer agar agar, a vegan gelatine used to make a variety of plant based puddings.
From lemony tarts to moist sponge cakes and a decadent tiramisu, this class will teach you how to create gorgeous treats. You will be able to practice your piping skills with a delicious and not too sweet buttercream. We will also explore unrefined sweeteners such as maple syrup, coconut sugar, agave syrup and fruit for a healthier twist on these decadent treats. The recipes are also adaptable for gluten free. A savoury lunch will also be provided before we tuck into our decadent spread of delights.
Natural Cookery School recipes are inspired by the season. Classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration, with plenty of added tips and knife skills. You will work by yourself unless you are coming with someone in our teaching kitchen, creating the recipes and tasting along the way. We'll enjoy a shared meal at the end of the class, so please bring a container in case of leftovers... You will be provided with an apron to use for the day and recipe packs to take home. No washing up necessary as we have someone on hand to take care of that.
