Ingredients
- 2 pears
- 25g mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and/or hazelnuts)
- 1 tbsp butter or vegan butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground cloves
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 2 tbspĀ maple syrup, or agave syrup
Method
1ļøā£ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Wash and halve the pears, then scoop out the seeds and pith. Place pears flesh-side up in a baking dish.
2ļøā£ In a food processor, pulse the nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves until roughly chopped.
3ļøā£ Spoon the nut mixture into the pears, creating mounds.
4ļøā£ In a small saucepan, heat the lemon juice, butter, and syrup until it simmers. Remove from heat and pour over the pears.Ā
5ļøā£ Bake for 25 minutes until the pears are tender. Serve warm with an extra drizzle of syrup from the bottom of the pan.
